Baeke's Land

Choreographed by Lynn Neuman- Artistic Director of Artichoke Dance Company

In 1907, Leo Baekeland invented a material that revolutionized the world, plastic. The definition of plastic is capable of being molded or formed into any shape. As a substance, its adaptability and energy-effecient qualities have made it a leading global material. With a lifestyle significant to others, a plastic bottle can last over 450 years. Humanity is now only beginning to understand the repercussions of plastic on the human body and can only imagine what the full impact will be in years to come.
